A Long Time Coming

It has been a long time, but once again I have an update.  This ship took over a year to make!!!  Mostly because it took so long to gather the required parts, but none the less it is finished.  I hope to have this one as well as the carrier and some planes painted and based soon, but I cant make any promises.  Remember patients pays off.

An exciting new project

Finally an anime inspired game that looks to be worth something!  The Robotech RPG tactics game has attracted a lot of attention on Kickstarter.  With nearly 3500 backers and over $770,000 dollars raised I think it is fair to call this game a booming success.  I decided to join in and will be awaiting the shipment of this great looking game in December.

Gundam

Though my fleets of the skies have not taken to the air in some time I have kept myself busy with other pursuits.  Namely one of my oldest and favorite hobbies Gundam model building.

 Above is federation squad of 2 cold climate GM-C's and a ground combat Gundam

 This is my main Zeon squad of a Zaku II F-2, Zaku I and a Zaku II C.  All painted a matching green.

 The fierce Commander in a modified Gouf A  armed with a bazooka modified from a Gouf B-1.  This unit sports a more unique tiger stripe camo.

Last is a zaku I sniper variation.  This was the first unit I added to my collection, so I had not yet decided to add the green color pattern like his partners.  Also my favorite model with its sniper rifle and knee mount.

New Photos of an Old Squad

Here are a few photos of the older German squad, but taken with my new lens!  Note the spot lights and machine guns added to the crusiers.  These new parts were spares from a WWII era ship model that was close to 1/1200 scale.

New Dig

I know it has been quite a long time since I last posted. But fear not for I have returned, and brought with me a magnificent new creation. My newest creation is a twin gas bag dirigible carrier/sea plane tender. It's nation of allegiance is yet to be determined, but it could well have been swayed to an anarchist cause!  You may also note that this image is much better than many past due to a new macro lens.  With the aid of this new device I may soon post updated images of the entire fleet.

Japanese Wet Navy

Here are a few ships I got out of a prize machine in Japan. It was about $2.00 for each plastic "egg". The battle ships came alone, but the two destroyers came as a set. This makes for good proportions while constructing a fleet. I will keep an eye out for more.
